MY FOUR BEAUTIES

Having four girls in a row is something we seldom see in a family... Well, I have that in my beloved family and I'm a proud mother to my four beautiful and smart girls.

I got married to my husband in December 1984. We shifted to Segamat soon after we got married. I gave birth to my first girl in November 1985. My second girl was born in March 1988. Both of them were born in Batu Pahat. In 1992, my family and I transfered to Kuala Lumpur. My third girl was born there in March. A year later, I gave birth to my youngest girl in November 1993. She was born in Batu Pahat during the school holidays.

My first and third girls did their pre-school education in TADIKA KEMAS when they were 5 and in TASKI ABIM a year later. While, my second girl attended TASKI ABIM for her pre-school education when she was 5 and then to JAIS Kindergarten a year after that. Whereas, my youngest girl attended TASKI ABIM for both her pre-school education years.

My first and second girls started their primary education in SK Setiawangsa in Kuala Lumpur and continued at SK Convent Batu Pahat until Year 6. My third and fourth girls started their primary education in SK Convent Batu Pahat until Year 6; except for my youngest who finished her primary education in SK Seri Gading. Although my second and third girls obtained straight As in their UPSR, my first and fourth girl did fairly well in the exam, too.

My first girl did her secondary education in SMK Convent until Form 5. She managed to do fairly well in her PMR and SPM before she continued her education in Johor Matriculation College in Tangkak. Then, she continued her studies in Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Tanjung Malim and obtained a Degree in Mathematics Education. She is now a teacher in a secondary school in Batu Pahat.

My second girl did her secondary education in SMK Convent Batu Pahat, too. After gaining straight As in her PMR, she continued her Form 4 in Sekolah Seri Puteri in Cyberjaya. After getting straight As in her SPM, she was offered the Public Service Department scholarship and furthered her studies in Monash University, Australia doing Medicine. She is now in her fourth year.

My third girl did her secondary education in  Temenggong Ibrahim Girl's School Batu Pahat. After getting straight A's in her PMR, she continued her Form Four in MRSM Tun Ghafar Baba in Jasin, Melaka. With straight As in her SPM, she was offered the Mara Scholarship to do Asasi Sains in Universiti Teknologi Mara in Shah Alam and will pursue her studies there in September. She had chosen to do Medicine, too. Currently, she is spending her long holidays at her sister's place in Australia. I'm glad to know that she is having a good time over there.

My fourth and youngest girl did her secondary education in Temenggong Ibrahim Girl's School Batu Pahat. She had just obtained her SPM result with 7 As. At present, she is accompanying me at home before pursuing her studies elsewhere.

What a relief... My four beauties have all finished their schooling years. As a mother, I have done my part and I hope I have done my responsibility well. I could still remember how I cried a few hours after giving birth to my youngest girl. At that moment, my husband was still on his way back to Batu Pahat from Kuala Lumpur to visit us. It took a lot of courage to console myself and made a vow that I would take good care of my four girls and turn them into successful  people in the future.

Well, at present, there is a teacher and two doctors-to-be in the family. I really hope that my youngest girl will one day be as successful as her elder sisters, too...

Actually, the youngest in the family is my son. He is seven years younger than my youngest girl. He is still schooling in Year 5 in SK Seri Beroleh, Batu Pahat. At this age and situation, my husband and I would admit that raising four girls in a row is nothing  compared to raising the only boy in the family...
